iM Bite is a personal food suitability app by Nobleman Labs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built iM Bite to be useful without needing to know more about you than necessary.
The short version: your food preferences and profile power your personal scores. We don't sell your data. You can export or delete your account at any time from Settings.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Your checks and profile — the categories you turn on (digestion, diabetes, halal, allergies, and so on) and optional details such as diet type, sensitivities, and goals.
- Account information — if you create an account, your email address and authentication identifier.
- Saved content — foods you save, your safe and avoid lists, and scan history.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — basic, aggregated interactions used to improve the app and diagnose problems.
- Device data — app version, device model, and operating system for compatibility and support.
Camera and photos
Barcode scanning and meal photo analysis use your camera or a photo you choose. Images are processed to identify products and estimate ingredients; they are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
How we use information
- To generate your personal fit scores and explanations.
- To sync your profile, saved foods, and history across your devices (Premium+).
- To operate, secure, support, and improve iM Bite.
- To process subscriptions through Apple and Google.
Food data sources
iM Bite draws nutrition and product information from trusted open datasets, including USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. Scores are mostly rule-based and transparent. Where AI is used to explain a score or suggest alternatives, the underlying reasons — the ingredients and nutrients — are shown to you.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run iM Bite (such as hosting, authentication, and payment processing via Apple and Google), each bound to protect it, and where required by law.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data in transit and at rest.
Your rights & choices
- Access & export — request a copy of your data.
- Correction — update your profile and checks any time in Settings.
- Deletion — delete your account and associated data from Settings, or see our account deletion page.
Children
iM Bite is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Health disclaimer
iM Bite provides food information and personalized suitability scores. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition and is not a substitute for professional advice. Always verify labels and certifications and consult a qualified professional for medical, allergy, or religious needs.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date, and where appropriate we'll notify you in the app.
